Most Recently: International Associate Director of Billy Elliot The Musical (Tokyo and Osaka), Ed was Associate Director of Erica Whyman’s production of Hamnet (Swan Theatre - RSC and Garrick Theatre, West End), after returning from USA as Resident Director of Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin’s production of The Jungle (St Ann’s Warehouse, Brooklyn and Shakespeare Theatre Company, Washington DC).

Television and Film: Ed was Children’s Director on The Crown - Season 3 - Aberfan (Netflix). He wrote and directed Matilda at Home (SKY VIP/RSC).

Ed has been a visiting director and lecturer at University of Chichester, Central School of Speech and Drama, ICTheatre Brighton, Trinity College of Music, BRIT School, Croydon, Italia Conti (Acting Department) and Urdang, London as well as delivering workshops for The Old Vic. Ed trained originally as an actor. Notable acting credits include: Power (National Theatre), Iphigenia at Aulis (Oxford Playhouse), The Iron Eyelashes (Dublin, Ipswich) and Bright Star (BBC Films).
